Michele Rogers Bower, PT, PCS holds her Bachelors of Science in Microbiology and her Bachelors of Arts in English from Louisiana State University and her Masters of Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In 1998, she began practicing as a Physical Therapist at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge where she became NDT-Certified in the Outpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation Center. Michele returned to her hometown of Thibodaux in 2005 as a Physical Therapist for the Early Steps System in Lafourche and Terrebonne Parishes.
Michele has completed the 8 week intensive training in Pediatric NeuroDevelopmental Treatment which involves advanced skills for working with children with neurological disorders. She has also integrated these skills into her treatment of children and adolescents from 0-22 years with developmental delays, neuromuscular diseases and motor incoordination. She became a Board Certified Pediatric Clinical Specialist in May of 2009.
She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Louisiana Physical Therapy Association, the Pediatric Section of the American Physical Therapy Association and the NeuroDevelopmental Treatment Association. Michele greatly enjoys working with children of different abilities and advocates for their needs in all areas of development. Her dedication to this field has encouraged her to join with colleges to bring this exclusively Pediatric specialty clinic to the Bayou region.
